Additional information

Iasus, on the Carian coast near modern Kıyıkışlacık in Turkey, was a city of modest regional standing whose civic coinage under Severus Alexander reflects the standard provincial arrangement of the Conventus of Alabanda — a judicial district through which Rome administered western Asia Minor. The city's coins from this reign are poorly represented in major collections, and VI#5320 is not a variety that turns up with any regularity in trade.
