| Obverse description | Draped bust of Orbiana facing right, wearing a diadem, her hair elaborately coiffed in the Severan fashion. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Conventus of Smyrna, with visible drapery folds across the shoulder. The obverse legend runs around the periphery, naming the empress as Gnaia Orbiana Augusta. The portrait conveys the stylized formality characteristic of civic bronze issues struck under Severus Alexander. |
