Reverse description Standing figure of Tyche, the personification of fortune and civic prosperity, depicted in full-length draped attire facing left. She holds a ship's rudder in her right hand, symbolising guidance and destiny, and a cornucopia in her left, emblematic of abundance. The reverse legend encircles the field, proclaiming Ephesus's prestigious status as a twice-neocorate city, a civic honour of great importance in the Imperial period. The die work, though now heavily worn, reflects the standard provincial engraving conventions of Ionian Asia Minor under the Severan dynasty.
