Reverse description Nike, the goddess of victory, standing right with head turned to the left, her figure rendered in flowing drapery in the provincial Greek style. She rests her left foot upon a globe (partially visible) and supports a large shield against her left knee, bracing it upright. The composition conveys martial triumph and civic pride, a common reverse type for Phrygian provincial bronzes of the Severan period. The encircling Greek legend names the city of the Hadrianopolitans and the local archon Potitos, whose magistracy dates the issue.
