| Obverse description | Draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately waved and swept back in the characteristic Severan coiffure with a bun at the nape of the neck. The empress is depicted with visible drapery folds over the shoulder and chest. The Greek legend encircles the portrait in the field. The style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage struck under the authority of the Conventus of Cyzicus during the early Severan period. |
