Obverse description Ivy-wreathed head of Dionysus facing right, with a thyrsus resting over his left shoulder, rendered in the Hellenistic provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage. The hair is depicted in loose, flowing locks beneath the wreath, and the facial features display a youthful, idealized character. A Greek legend encircles the bust in the field, identifying the issuing cities.
