Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Empress Otacilia Severa facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of Lydian civic coinage under Philip I. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait in the field, identifying the empress by her full titulature. The flan shows typical provincial fabric with an irregular, slightly convex surface.
