| Obverse description | Radiate and draped bust of the local magistrate Lukabas Sozon facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Phrygian civic coinage under Maximinus Thrax. The radiate crown is clearly delineated, with individual rays extending from the head, and the drapery is indicated across the left shoulder. The Greek legend is disposed around the bust in the field. The portrait exhibits the coarse but vigorous engraving typical of Anatolian civic bronze issues of the mid-third century AD. |
