| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gaius Julius Verus Maximus Caesar to right, seen from the rear in the so-called 'back view' convention typical of provincial coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic military presentation of an imperial prince, with paludamentum visible over the cuirass. The encircling Greek legend names the Caesar in the nominative. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with provincial bronze fabric. |
