Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maximinus I Thrax facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter back view typical of his provincial coinage. The effigy displays the emperor's military attire with paludamentum visible over the cuirass. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust in the field, identifying the emperor by his full titulature.
