| Obverse description | Youthful bare-headed bust of Commodus facing right, draped in paludamentum and cuirass, the portrait rendered in the provincial style typical of Bithynian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The obverse legend, partially preserved, reads Λ ΑΥΡ ΚΟΜοΔοϹ Κ, identifying the young Caesar in Greek characters disposed around the bust. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical green patination consistent with long burial. |
