Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with curly hair rendered in the characteristic Hadrianic style with short beard implied by the portraiture convention. The imperial effigy is depicted with naturalistic modeling of the facial features, including a prominent nose and strong jaw. The Greek legend ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ encircles the portrait along the periphery of the flan, partially visible despite the coin's worn surfaces. The overall die work reflects the provincial engraving tradition of the Lydian conventus, with the portrait occupying the majority of the obverse field.
