Additional information

Adramyteum, a coastal city in Mysia, struck provincially under Hadrian during a period when the emperor's extended tour of the eastern provinces — beginning around 123 AD — prompted numerous cities to produce honorific bronzes in his name. The magistrate name preserved in the legend, likely a local strategos, is our only record that this individual held office at all.
