| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted from the front, with the radiate crown rendered in characteristic third-century provincial style. The effigy displays the emperor in military dress with visible paludamentum over the cuirass. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits the irregular, slightly uneven flan typical of locally produced Bithynian civic bronzes of this period. |
