(Translation: for Emperor Caesar Licinius Gallienus)
Reverse description Zeus enthroned to the left upon a high-backed throne, his body draped in a himation covering the lower limbs. In his extended right hand he holds a small eagle, while his left hand grasps a tall sceptre. The civic legend of Cotiaeum is disposed around the field in two registers, naming the local magistrate Diogenes, son of Dionysios, in his capacity as archon. The type follows the standard Zeus Nikephoros reverse common to Phrygian civic bronzes of the third century AD.
