Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, depicted from behind in the three-quarter rear view characteristic of later Roman provincial coinage. The effigy shows the emperor in military attire, with the paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder and the cuirass visible beneath. A Latin legend encircles the bust within the field, naming the emperor. The flan is irregular in shape, typical of provincial bronze issues of the mid-third century AD.
