Reverse description A peacock standing right with head turned left, rendered in a style characteristic of provincial Greek bronze coinage of the Gallienic period. The bird's plumage is indicated in low relief. The Greek legend naming the Argives and the year numeral Ζ (7) appears in the field around the type. The flan is pierced and the surfaces exhibit deep green patination with areas of earthen encrustation.
