| Reverse description | Front elevation of a distyle temple, its two columns framing the standing figure of Zeus Ammon-Sarapis, depicted full-face with head turned to left, wearing the characteristic kalathos (modius) on his head. The deity holds a long sceptre in his left hand and extends a patera in his right; at his feet to the left appears a small animal figure, possibly a ram. The architectural setting reflects the prominent syncretic cult active at Bostra during the Severan period. |
