| Obverse description | Laureate head of Domitian facing right, depicted in the Roman imperial portrait style typical of the Flavian period. The emperor's effigy shows characteristic Flavian physiognomy with a laurel wreath encircling the head. A Greek legend encircles the portrait, reading ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΩΡ ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟϹ. The flan is slightly irregular, as is common for provincial bronze issues of this region and period. |
