Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Commodus facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Achaean colonial coinage. The imperial effigy displays a wreath of laurel leaves encircling the head, with drapery visible at the truncation of the neck. The surrounding legend in Latin identifies the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is slightly irregular, and the surface carries the green patina typical of excavated provincial bronzes.
Obverse script Latin
Obverse lettering AV COM ANTO AVG
(Translation: Aurelius Commodus Antoninus Augustus)
