| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, presented from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and cuirass detail rendered in relief. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, rendered in the provincial Roman style typical of Troas coinage. The surrounding legend runs along the periphery of the flan in Latin characters. The flan shows characteristic irregular shaping consistent with hammered provincial bronze production of the Severan period. |

| Reverse description | The she-wolf (lupa), symbol of Rome and the founding myth of Romulus and Remus, is depicted standing to the left with her head turned back to the right, suckling the twin infants Romulus and Remus beneath her. The type directly invokes the Roman colonial identity of Alexandria Troas, emphasizing its status as a Roman colonia. The legend COL ALEX AVG encircles the field in Latin, referencing Colonia Alexandreia Augusta. The reverse type is a hallmark of Alexandrian Troas civic coinage under the Severan dynasty. |
