| Obverse description | Bare head of Augustus facing left, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style typical of early Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The effigy displays close-cropped hair with fine strands swept forward over the brow, characteristic of Augustan portraiture. The field is plain and uninscribed, consistent with the convention of many Phrygian civic bronzes of this period. The coin surface bears a dark patina with areas of green encrustation, somewhat obscuring fine detail. No legend is present on the obverse. |
