Obverse description Jugate busts of Augustus, laureate, and Livia, draped, facing right, presented in the Hellenistic dynastic portrait tradition typical of Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The laureate head of Augustus is placed in front, with Livia's draped bust slightly behind and to the left, both rendered in low relief. The coin is heavily patinated and worn, with the portrait details partially obscured by encrustation. No legend is visible on the obverse, consistent with the known type for this Ephesian civic issue. The style reflects the competent but provincial hand of the Ephesian municipal mint.
