Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Domitian as Caesar facing right, the portrait rendered in provincial style with bold relief. The legend encircles the bust in Latin characters, reading DOMITIANVS CAESAR AVG F COS ITER, identifying him as son of Augustus and consul for the second time. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of provincial bronze coinage struck at Sinope.
