Reverse description An eagle stands facing with wings spread and head turned to the right, grasping a bull's head in its talons — a well-known emblem associated with the colonial coinage of Alexandria Troas. The bird is rendered in high relief with detailed feathering, its powerful stance filling the central field. The colonial legend encircles the type, divided on either side of the eagle, identifying the issuing city.
