Obverse description Veiled and draped bust of Boule facing right, personifying the sacred council of Apamea, rendered in a somewhat schematic provincial style. The veil falls in layered folds over the shoulder and chest, and the drapery is indicated by incised lines across the bust. The Greek legend ΙΕΡΑ ΒΟΥΛΗ ('Sacred Council') appears in the field, partially legible around the bust.
