| Obverse description | Draped bust of the personified Roman Senate (ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟϹ) facing right, depicted with veiled and turreted or wreathed head, rendered in the provincial hammered style typical of the Lydian conventus. The legend ΙΕΡΑ ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟϹ curves around the bust in Greek characters. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic patination of a provincial bronze issue. |
