| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the Roman imperial portrait tradition with characteristic cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The bust is bare or lightly draped at the truncation. The surrounding field carries an abbreviated Greek legend identifying the emperor with his titles. The portrait displays the bold, naturalistic modelling typical of provincial bronze coinage struck under the Conventus of Smyrna. |

| Reverse description | Dionysus, the principal civic deity, depicted standing to the left in a frontal composition. In his raised right hand he holds a cantharus, the deep-handled wine cup emblematic of the god, while his left arm rests upon a thyrsus, the fennel-staff entwined with ivy that serves as his divine attribute. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition common to Lydian provincial bronzes. The reverse legend naming the magistrate and the civic ethnic of Hyrcanis frames the central type. |
