| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear. The emperor's portrait is executed in the provincial style typical of the Arabian mint at Bostra, with the laureate wreath clearly delineated around the head. The encircling legend gives the imperial titulature in Latin. The overall treatment reflects the provincial die-cutting traditions of the Severan period in the eastern empire. |

| Reverse description | Turreted and draped bust of Tyche, the tutelary goddess of the city, facing left, with a cornucopia rising behind her shoulder. The turreted crown, a standard attribute of city goddesses in provincial Roman coinage, identifies the figure as the Tyche of Bostra. The composition is characteristic of the civic coinage struck at the colonia during the Severan dynasty. The colonial legend is distributed in the field around the bust. |
