| Reverse description | Tyche, the personification of civic fortune, depicted standing to the left in flowing robes, her right hand resting on a ship's rudder set upon a globe and her left arm cradling an overflowing cornucopia. The figure is rendered in a frontal stance with the head turned slightly, typical of provincial Anatolian bronze coinage of the Severan period. The ethnic legend of the city of Hypaepa is inscribed in the field to the right. The flan is irregular with a notch on the lower right edge, and the surface carries a grey-green patina. |
