| Reverse description | Tyche, the personification of Fortune and civic deity of Ephesus, depicted standing facing left in full length, wearing a polos or mural crown. She holds a ship's rudder in her right hand and a cornucopia (horn of plenty) in her left arm, symbols of guidance and abundance respectively. The encircling Greek legend proudly proclaims Ephesus's prestigious status as a twice-neocorate city. The reverse field is heavily worn, consistent with the coin's irregular flan and provincial manufacture. |
