Reverse description Sarapis enthroned, seated left upon a high-backed throne, his right arm extended forward over the three-headed dog Cerberus seated at his feet, while his left hand holds a long sceptre upright. The Egyptianizing deity wears robes and a modius crown, rendered in a style typical of provincial Asian coinage of the mid-third century. The ethnic legend ΚΟΛΟΦΩΝΙΩΝ is disposed around the field, identifying the issuing city of Colophon.
