Obverse description Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, presented in three-quarter front view. The emperor's effigy displays military attire with paludamentum and cuirass, rendered in the provincial style typical of Pisidian civic coinage. The circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait, reading from upper left. The flan is irregular and the relief slightly worn, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the mid-third century AD.
