Reverse description Tyche, the personification of civic fortune, stands facing left in full figure, rendered in the conventional provincial style. She holds a long rudder in her right hand, its blade resting on the ground, symbolising guidance and destiny, while her left arm cradles a cornucopia overflowing with produce, emblematic of abundance. The ethnic legend of the Lampsacene civic community is inscribed in the right field. The overall composition is typical of Mysian civic bronzes of the mid-third century AD.
