| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Emperor Nero facing right, rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style with characteristic fleshy features. The effigy fills the central field, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated around the brow. The abbreviated Greek legend is disposed around the periphery of the flan. The flan is irregular and the surface shows patination consistent with a hammered bronze provincial issue. |
