Obverse description Bare head of Lucius Verus facing right, rendered in the naturalistic portrait style typical of Antonine provincial coinage. The emperor's features display the characteristic curled hair and short beard associated with Verus. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥ ΚΑΙ Λ ΑΥΡΗ ΟΥΗΡΟϹ, identifying the ruler as Augustus Caesar Lucius Aurelius Verus, disposed around the portrait in the field.

Reverse description Heracles depicted nude, standing facing right, his weight shifted in a relaxed contrapposto posture. His right arm rests upon a grounded club set to his side, while his left hand holds the Nemean lion skin and a bow, attributes emblematic of his labours. The figure is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition favoured by Mysia's civic coinage. The ethnic legend ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ, with the zeta reversed as a die engraver's peculiarity, is disposed around the reverse field, enclosed within a dotted border.
