Obverse description Bare or laureate draped bust of Lucius Verus facing right, rendered in the provincial hammered style typical of Achaean colonial coinage. The emperor's portrait is depicted with characteristic features of the Antonine period, including a bearded visage. The encircling legend reads IMP CAES L AVREL VERVS AVG, identifying the emperor as Caesar Lucius Aurelius Verus Augustus. The flan is irregular and the surface shows typical patination consistent with a provincial bronze issue.
