Obverse description Draped bust of Dionysus facing left, crowned with an ivy wreath, the god depicted as a youthful, effeminate figure with flowing locks falling to the neck. A grape cluster or ivy berry ornament is visible near the lower right of the bust. The Greek civic legend ϹΑΡΔΙΑΝΩΝ is partially visible in the field to the left, disposed along the inner border of the flan.
