Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the shoulder. The imperial effigy is rendered in the typical provincial style of the Ephesian conventus. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the field, identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature.
