| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted from a rear three-quarter perspective emphasizing the paludamentum and cuirass. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Pergamene conventus, with the laureate wreath clearly distinguishing the imperial portrait. The Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ encircles the bust, referencing the emperor's dynastic name Antoninus. The flan shows the characteristic irregular fabric of provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
