| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Domitian facing left, rendered in the provincial Greek style with fine hair detail beneath the wreath. The portrait displays a slightly draped shoulder visible at the bust truncation. The encircling Greek legend ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ runs around the periphery within a dotted border, identifying the emperor by name and title. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hammered provincial bronze coinage of Cilicia. |
