Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of the Emperor Claudius facing right, rendered in the Roman provincial tradition with a naturalistic portrait showing the characteristic features of the emperor. A circular Greek legend naming the local magistrate Pasidienus Firmus, patron of the city, runs around the periphery within a beaded border, attesting to the civic authority under whose auspices the coin was issued.
