| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the Severan period. The emperor's effigy displays the characteristic youthful features associated with Alexander's portraiture, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated around the head. A circular legend surrounds the bust, running along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular, as is typical of provincial bronze issues of this era. |
