| Obverse description | Draped bust of Dionysus facing right, crowned with an ivy wreath adorned with berries and vine leaves, the god depicted in his characteristic youthful guise. The drapery falls loosely over the left shoulder, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Pontic civic coinage. The date inscription ΕΤ ϹΞϚ (Year 266 of the Pontic Era) appears in the field. The flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the Severan period. |
