| Obverse description | Bare, bearded head of the Demos facing right, with light drapery visible on the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in a robust provincial style, with flowing hair swept back from the forehead and a full, curly beard characteristic of civic personification types. The legend ΔΗΜΟϹ is distributed in the field around the effigy. The overall workmanship reflects the local Phrygian mint tradition of the mid-third century AD. |
