| Obverse description | Bare head of Emperor Nero facing left, rendered in the youthful portrait style characteristic of his early reign. The effigy displays closely cropped hair with short locks brushed forward over the brow. The encircling Greek legend reads ΝΕΡΩΝΙ ΚΛΑΥΔΙΩ ΚΑΙΣΑΡΙ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΩ, identifying the emperor in dative case as befitting a civic honorific issue.
