| Reverse description | Zeus enthroned, seated to the left, holding a Nike in his extended right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The composition follows the canonical Phrygian civic reverse type for Zeus as chief deity of Acmonea. The magistrate's name and ethnic legend surround the figure, with the ΕΠΙ abbreviation struck in retrograde, a known die error on this issue. The style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Apamean conventus. |
