Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Marcus Aurelius facing right, depicted with characteristic beard in the Antonine style. A partial Greek legend surrounds the effigy, reading [---]ΑΝΤωΝΙΝ[---], preserving fragments of the imperial titulature. The portrait displays the relatively youthful features associated with the earlier years of his reign. The flan is irregular and the surface shows typical provincial bronze patination.
