| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Marcus Aurelius facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Achaean civic coinage of the Antonine period. The emperor's effigy displays the characteristic beard associated with Marcus Aurelius. The circular legend surrounding the portrait reads Μ ΑΥ ΑΝΤωΝΕΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor as Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus. The coin surface shows heavy patination and wear consistent with extended circulation. |
