| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Lucius Verus, draped with paludamentum, facing right; the portrait displays curled hair rendered in the Antonine style characteristic of the co-emperor's coinage. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ Λ ΑΥΡ ΟΥΗΡΟϹ, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The die work is typical of Bithynian provincial civic coinage of the 160s AD. |
